Movie date. R rated movie. I'm 16, he's 17, I have a couple of questions?? Haha?

Okay so I have a first date with a guy tonight, we picked the traditional dinner & a movie. All we want to see is Hangover 2 really and thats of course R. He's 17 and I'm almost 17 but not quite, we both look a few years older than what we are but what are the chances of them carding us? He has to be 18 to get me in legally right? Do you think theyll be lenient since I'm really close to 17 or are they super strict at movie theatres? Any suggestions or answers are much appreciated :) thanks.
