Why does my dog push her food or treats with her nose sometimes?

It could be a sign that she's perhaps not hungry, but one of the rescue dogs we had did this to move the food into a corner to eat it as a protective/ownership thing. Perhaps because you were out of the family environment she wanted to put her scent (from her nose) onto the food so her ownership was made clear.
