Why is my male friend giving me the silent treatment?

He may have a gf that does not want him talking to you too often. He may have something going on in his life right now that prevents him from spending as much time talking to you. There could be numerous reasons. You are expecting way too much of a platonic friend. He has a life too. I could never devote 2 hours of my day, every day, talking to any one of my friends. I have a life to live, and it keeps me very busy.
